The COVID era has brought with itself many realizations, and with this has come the need to change our perspective. But has it been able to change the spirit of a Leader? The answer is definitely a big NO!. A leader can’t afford to lose his vision. A successful leader has to be humble as it is the people what the leader serves, says Meenaa Mahaajjan.
Today, we will talk of one such leader – Meenaa Mahaajjan, a spiritual teacher and founder of Siddhi powered by humanity and COVIDKNIGHTS a force of selfless volunteers guided by her, helped people to tide over many hurdles and challenges in this COVID era.
When the nation was preparing and bracing itself for its first Lockdown, the leader in Meenaa Mahaajjan was constantly thinking about the challenges that this time would bring with it. The challenges posed by a curfew-like situation, in which not only the essential services but even the emergency services would be unavailable.
Uncertainty, fear and lack of preparedness posed a lot of problems and chaos. Those who were not capable enough to earn their meal for the next day did not know where to go, which person or institution to look up to, or where to seek help from.
Dr Meenaa and her team of COVIDKNIGHTS who are selfless volunteers fighting from the ground, came forward to help and guide all those who were feeling helpless and hopeless. The task in front was humongous, preparing food for thousands, maintaining hygiene, teaching people the new norms of lockdown, the decorum of social distancing etc. Each day had its own challenges but for COVIDKNIGHTS it was just another opportunity to reach out to the needy.
The nation is not oblivious of the apathies of migrant workers. It took the authorities some time to come out with measures to help them with their problems, but not for Dr Meenaa and her COVIDKNIGHTS.
She was on the ground every single day and leading her team not through command but action. She made arrangements to look after the migrant workers by providing them with food and things of daily necessity and guiding them to various temporary shelters. Not only that, but there were also challenges of managing the influx during the moments of their boarding trains to their respective hometowns. Her team was helping all of them with cartons of food and milk for children, slippers, and more importantly HOPE.
A true leader not just leads by setting examples but also keeps upgrading with the changing times and circumstances. Understanding the challenges, changing according to them and making the others follow too, makes one a good leader. Dr.Meenaa Mahaajjan has displayed the sheer power of a leader through her conduct
Her team of Siddhi’s COVIDKNIGHTS and she herself have been showered upon by appreciation and accolades by the ministries and organisations who have witnessed the work done and the ongoing work of rebuilding India. They have been praised for their consistent work during the pandemic and now working towards Rebuilding India.
The selfless work of COVIDKNIGHTS under the guidance of Meenaa Mahaajjan has got appreciation from Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya deputy CM of UP, Shri Ramdas Athwale minister of state for social justice and empowerment, Shri Manoj Tiwari MP and BJP leader, Shri Pratap Chand Sarangi minister of state for MSMEs.
