The creative world is in transition. From manual to jaw-dropping AI-assisted creativity, technology has enabled artists to expand their creative horizons and push the boundaries of their craft. We are living in the golden age of creativity where an explosion of devices, new tech, and new media platforms have democratized creative tools and made every person a creator today.

At this year’s Adobe MAX, the company released scores of exciting new updates and innovations across their Creative Cloud flagship applications- powered by Adobe Sensei AI technology that drastically reduces mundane work so that artists can spend more time trying newer ideas, enhance their creative expression and create more effectively and efficiently.

For starters, Adobe Photoshop now has three AI-powered neural filters in Photoshop desktop and Camera Raw file support on the iPad, that will help explore new creative ideas in seconds. The Lightroom/Lightroom Classic will now come with more powerful and precise ML-powered masking capabilities and community remixing to create more complex and accurate selections with multiple masks. For those using Premiere Pro, Sensei-powered beta Remix feature will help users create a music bed easily. Adobe also made available its Multi-frame Rendering and beta Sensei-powered Scene Edit Detection capabilities to After Effects. This will provide users up to 4x faster performance, preview and render, in lightning speed.

“India’s $1 trillion digital economy will be fuelled by a connected world, where the powerful combination of creativity and technology will play a major role in enabling everyone’s lives – from teachers, students, hobbyists, seasoned artists, to businesses big and small. The announcements and innovations announced at Adobe MAX will push the envelope on how individuals as well as businesses design and deliver exceptional creative experiences to the world," said Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President & Managing Director, Adobe India.

Adobe also announced a tighter integration of 3D content, effects and capabilities across Illustrator, XD and Stock. Enhancing the role of 3D in the future, a new Modeler (Private Beta) app joins the Substance 3D Collection. Not to forget, Adobe’s Fresco will now make it simple for users to turn any drawing layer into an animation layer to create motion, draw with new perspective guides and grids, and use non-destructive adjustment layers to explore and enhance colors.

This year’s MAX Sneaks – where Adobe shows off early technology previews of potential features being developed in Adobe Labs that may or may not get into their products – turned heads.

One of the nine tech sneaked was ‘Project Make It Pop’- an intelligent way to vectorize photographs powered by Adobe Sensei at the click of a button Sharing his experience, following the sneak demo, Nikhil Tailang, Experience Designer, Machine Intelligence Design, Adobe Design said, “MAX Sneaks provide us with the opportunity to get real, immediate feedback from our customers and community about what those innovations mean to them. Knowing that our work impacts so many people gave me a tangible and renewed sense of responsibility we have towards our users."

Wrapping up the segment, host Kenan Thompson said, “I am super impressed by all the innovation happening at Adobe. You're all working on technology that makes it easier and faster for an artist to do their thing. And as an artist myself, I think we can all agree that this (all innovations at MAX) is art. I am grateful. And I genuinely hope this all comes to market, especially the app (Project In-Between) that makes it look like I'm smiling."

All said, when we talk about the potential of AI, we are still just scratching the surface. The potential of technology is going far and beyond imagination.
