Gay Aliens Society NFT project is a collection of 10,000 hand-drawn NFTs designed and created by well-known Miami-based artist Tima Marso. Marso, a Russian-born multidisciplinary artist, has paintings that have sold for thousands of dollars. Also widely published as a model in fashion magazines worldwide, Marso has recently joined with TokenSociety.io to create the Gay Aliens Society NFT project, an intriguing collection with utilities and benefits new to the realm of NFTs.
Says Marso, “NFT [non-fungible tokens] are all about creating communities." One such community, Bored Ape Yacht Club, grosses millions of dollars with the collection, which has real world applications, making it popular with investors. Bored Ape is famous for its exclusive content and real-world events only available to Bored Ape NFT holders. Given the increasing interest and obvious financial opportunities associated with the NFT world, The Gay Aliens Society NFT project has taken the realm by shock with some interesting utilities.
Most NFT projects offer the owners of the NFTs a reward for owning their NFTs. An offered incentive of the potential revenue from the proceeds of aftermarket trading is an example. Some offer the possibility of being the one winner (out of 10,000) to win a Lamborghini or Rolex. Unfortunately, most of those promises end up being a “Rug Pull," a term the NFT community uses to describe a fraudulent act of selling the NFTs in a collection but not providing the project with the funds from the sale, essentially leaving the NFT purchasers owning what amounts to a worthless JPEG file.
The Gay Aliens Society has entered into an agreement with Altar, Inc., a leader in AR/XR to develop an Augmented Reality (AR) platform. The combination of technologies of AR and Blockchain will create AR versions of each of the Gay Aliens Society NFTs sold in the project. The AR Gay Aliens are only open to the NFT owner inside of the Altar NFT wallet, available for both IOS and Android.
Moving forwards, Gay Aliens Society NFT partnered with Archstone Entertainment. Archstone is a highly respected Hollywood, California, based TV and movie production and distribution company. Archstone will distribute Gay Aliens in Metaverse featuring a cast of Gay Aliens.
Gay Aliens in Metaverse is an adult-themed animated sitcom. Founder of the Gay Aliens project, Tima Marso, refers to the Gay Aliens in Metaverse series as “Adult Swim x Sex in the City." Archstone plans to distribute the show on traditional TV cable and streaming networks. A version only available to NFT holders will be shown in the Gay Aliens Society Metaverse, currently being developed on the Decentraland platform.
The development of the Gay Aliens Sociey metaverse district on the Decentraland platform has NFT holders excited. The district will be an “estate" (six parcels of land) on the Decentraland platform owned by the Gay Aliens Society NFT project. It will feature a theater, nightclub, sushi bar, art gallery, beach club, and event space. Only owners of a Gay Aliens token or token from a collaborating NFT are able to access the estate.
Currently the Gay Aliens Society NFT has over 10,000 members on Discord anxiously waiting for the public sale. There are over 50,000 dedicated Gay Aliens Society followers on their Instagram page, and over 7,000 on their Twitter page. Commenters include celebrities, such as Jason Derulo and supporters such as DJ Diplo.
