The key to achieving mindfulness is through meditation, which Hassan recommends.

Hassan Mahmood adds that when you learn to focus on what’s important, the rest of your thoughts can run free without interrupting your quest for success. Being present in every situation will help your mind stop wandering. While the process of finding your purpose can be strenuous, mindfulness will help you focus and sort through your thoughts to find that spark of passion.

Another way that Hassan Mahmood recommends to help you quiet your mind is distancing yourself from your worries. When you break out of a rut you’ve been stuck in, you’re able to see clearer and can focus on your purpose instead of worries. To do this, start by practicing distanced self-talk, avoid the “I, I, I" running in your mind, and choose a different pronoun to distance yourself from the distracting thoughts.

Understandably, this is all easier said than done, but Hassan Mahmood emphasizes that it is doable. Nothing should keep you from finding your purpose, not even yourself!
