At present the furniture products are available on the e-commerce platform www.kaalzua.com . The start-up has also partnered with major online retail stores. With this strong online presence, they plan to soon expand into experience centres across the country. This unique aspect makes Kaalzua the new future of the furniture industry.

The current furniture market in India is stuck in a rut of fast fashion that pays no heed to sustainability or shelf life. Look and appearance are the main criteria on which the furniture industry has been running for so long. Kaalzua proposes to break free from this trend by offering a combination of aesthetics, comfort and sustainability.

Kaalzua is run by a father-son duo, with the former contributing on the business and operations and the latter handling the design and engineering aspect. Shubham Vaidya is the co-founder and CDO of the start-up. He is an award-winning architect, masters in industrial design from SPA, New Delhi. He is the brainchild behind the inception of Kaalzua. According to him, “The urban life in the city is always on move and so should the furniture be, packed in a suitcase and carried easily."

Colonel Sanjay Vaidya is the co-founder and CEO of Kaalzua. He is M.Tech electronics, Army veteran and former technical officer with the United Nations at UNIFIL. An expert in execution and operations of start-ups, he contributes to the core functioning of the start-up. He says “We are on a path to create innovative furnishing solutions driven by tech, to upgrade your living". The team also includes industry leaders from the Global Experts Panel of Forbes, finance experts who have worked with the government of India and a range of advisors who have worked with different start-ups.

Kaalzua has already launched a range of quotidian products that can be bought on their online store. The three products on the online store are specifically designed keeping in mind the city lifestyle. Apart from these products Kaalzua intends to launch a full-fledged range of furniture products on www.kaalzua.com. Be on a lookout for these new products because they will not only solve your individual problems but also prove to be long lasting.

Kaalzua also intends to launch micro living-flat pack cottages. Now not only will your furniture be digitally fabricated in a flat pack format, but also complete cottages designed with the help of machines that are DIY. These flat pack cottages will both cut short the construction time and offer full-fledged living units in the remotest of the locations.

These unique qualities make Kaalzua the future of the Indian furniture industry. The start-up’s flat pack design is a step ahead of the IKEA model and is definitely in sync with modern-day city life. Unscrewing, transporting and setting up furniture at a new place can prove to be challenging tasks. Kaalzua understands these problems of city life and therefore, has crafted furniture that is on move with you.
