When you’re an 18 year old kid traveling the country on your own paid speaking tours, it’s not uncommon for people to ask you how you did it. What they really want to know is how they can do it too. When these questions started coming in, Kyle Dendy did his best to give each person complimentary one on one attention. He would get on calls, send text messages and more to help people craft their message and get paid to speak.

Inside of this online course, Kyle recorded himself and his screen and showed people how to articulate their story, find available speaking opportunities, connect with decision makers to land the engagement and more. Everything he taught was learned through trial and error, so this program was perfect for beginners and made it possible for them to get results right away. More than 7,000 people signed up for that program and many started getting results in countries all around the world.

Individuals were becoming TEDx speakers in a matter of days and were on stages of all shapes and sizes. Up until the pandemic, this program continued to grow by the day and was coupled with Kyle’s own speaking tours. Since then, he has transitioned to helping these individuals continue to tell their story online instead of in person, but even during shutdowns, his students are speaking virtually and even at small in person events.

In reflecting on the success of the program, Kyle noted “Looking back, creating an online course was the perfect answer to the problem I was running into of trying to help everybody one on one for free. First, I was able to create all of the content once and help thousands of people forever without giving up any more of my time. Second, I was getting properly paid for knowledge I spent time and money gaining, and students got better results because they invested in the education. They say that when you pay, you pay attention; when there’s no transaction, there’s no transformation. Today, I know that to be true.
