We often hear that people have made it big in the financial markets and are now doubling their wealth or exponentially growing it. People rarely do have humanitarian or other goals that generally look out for others. However, Shonda Martin has broken this long-lasting tradition of people only thinking about themselves. She has been not only highly successful in the financial sector but also has high goals to teach the younger generations about finances.
Shonda is the CEO of Road To 750 LLC, a credit education company specializing in teaching millennials the importance of having, obtaining, and then maintaining a good credit score. Shonda has been in the financial market for long enough to understand its workings, and she has chosen these areas to teach the younger generations because of their practical importance.
Having worked with big names such as Experian, Smart Credit, and other financial institutions to spread awareness regarding finances around the globe speaks volumes about Shonda’s main interests and goals. Shonda has helped more than 300,000 people with their credit scores, which has resulted in 10,000 new homes closed, 6,000 new cars being purchased or refinanced, and over 5 million dollars of credit limits.
However, Shonda has also maintained and gained a strong presence and following on social media. Her Tik Tok account, @ShondaMartin_, has over 600,000 followers. She also has an impressive 60,000 followers on Instagram. Shonda also has a Facebook group with more than 350,000 members, one of the biggest financial education groups on the platform. Out of the 4 years she has been in business, she has achieved and maintained an impressive 5-star rating.
When it comes to difficulties, Shonda has had a rough and tough path to get where she is. Shonda mentions how difficult it can be as a woman in this male-dominated industry and the amount of extra effort it requires to get yourself up to the mark because of the culture. However, she believes that if your work is truly remarkable, then it will speak for itself. Just like Shonda’s work has outshone the rest.
Shonda believes that having a healthy relationship with your finances can only start by learning about credit the right way – it's all about the basics like being responsible with your current cards. She notes that many people are afraid to open credit cards because of their lack of knowledge about them or how they work. However, once they are taught, they can then go on to improve and maintain their credit scores and open up their financial portfolios.
Shonda is currently working on a YouTube show about realty and raising financial literacy and awareness while partnering with a few of the biggest financial institutions around the world. She plans to one day do financial segments on daytime television. Her goals are well aligned with her morals and values, and she continues to inspire millennials and women that entering the financial market the right way is the best way.
