Ziqitza Healthcare Limited to provide 200 additional ambulances to combat COVID

Additional Ambulances to the Service
While the number of Coronavirus cases in the state is dropping, there are many areas, where the numbers are still high and ambulance facilities are not adequate to serve the increase cases on immediate basis. To help patients in such places, the state government and the National Health Mission has approved for an additional 200 ambulances to be launched across the state and would be operated by Ziqitza Limited which would be used exclusively to serve COVID patients for carrying them from home to the hospital and back home.

For this purpose, we have decided to increase our capacity of COVID-19 dedicated ambulances in the state. We are grateful to the state government and the National Health Mission for supporting at every step to ensure the continuous service amidst COVID-19 pandemic."
In all these COVID special ambulances, complete COVID-19 protocol will be followed so that patients feel safe and comfortable and do not face any problems. Out of the additionally sanctioned 200 COVID-19 ambulances, 45 have already started operations.
Special attention is paid to hygiene and sanitation
On one hand, Ziqitza would be ensuring that the 108 ambulance crew are supporting government and administration in serving people with utmost commitment and dedication, following all safety precautions, on the same hand, the Ambulance staff is being provided with essential equipment to keep themselves safe from infection. 108 Ambulance staff is being provided with face masks, hand gloves, PPE kits, sanitizers in sufficient quantity and ambulance is being sanitized thoroughly after every patient is served. All rules and guidelines are also being followed by the staff to stop the spread of infection. Currently, Ziqitza Healthcare Limited (ZHL) has a total of 606 ambulances serving people across the state. To ensure that the infection doesn’t spread from one patient to another, these 606 ambulances are divided into two categories, 125 ambulances have been especially allotted for COVID-19 patients in the state. Remaining 481 ambulances are being used for other medical emergencies such as road accidents, carrying pregnant women, other medical emergency cases etc.
