Business priorities of C-suite leaders, especially of mid-sized enterprises have drastically evolved more than what they were prepared for. The management and business focus today is largely driven by technology and economic trends that are impacting the decision-making. Anand Kashyap, CEO of SRM Technologies, shares how the organization had to reset its strategy, pursue new goals and accelerate progress in growth areas.

How is SRM Tech navigating the post-pandemic business landscape?

Like someone rightly said, "If you have decided to swim in the ocean, you can't wait for the waves to stop."

We are adapting to new norms and thought processes to stay the course and acknowledge the shifts pertaining to customer experiences, security and workforce composition. Our biggest focus this year is on upskilling our talent, strengthening our security policies and ensuring profit generation through agile, data-driven transformational experiences for our customers.

What are the challenges and opportunities that are impacting your 2022-23 goals?

The geopolitical tensions, wavering economic conditions and challenges they result in, stress the need for better preparedness and resilience from businesses. We see a greater demand for multi-skilled talent, digitalization and new business models to engage and succeed in delivering customer needs.

How is the organization aligning employee development with business performance?

We are proud to have launched Project Elevate, a company-wide initiative reinforcing our collective purpose at three levels. The need for every employee to cross-skill, upskill or elevate themselves; the onus on every team to improvise processes, implement new ideas and improve collaboration; the organization’s responsibility to ensure employee well-being and enable ease of work.

We have implemented digital tools to facilitate better project management and interactions between & within teams. We have also introduced flexible work models and ensured virtual, secure environments for our remote workforce.

Our employees are being trained in language skills and latest technologies to be better equipped for evolving business needs and professional growth. Apart from empowering our current workforce, we also provide skill training to young talent from diverse backgrounds to make them highly capable and employable.

What new trends are you seeing on the customer retention and growth front?

We are building competencies in multi-vertical niches, improving process innovation and establishing better governance in order to provide sustained value creation. Our successful partnerships have been built on unifying the business and technology priorities of our customers, generating long-term value, enabling scale and improving our remote-delivery capabilities.

SRM Tech’s positioning as a technology and digital transformation partner in two distinct markets like USA and Japan, gives the competitive edge of working on varied solutions and domain-specific competencies. Focused investments in organization-wide priorities and business sustainability have proven favourable to compete in today’s ecosystem and will continue to do so.
