The logistics market in India is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 10.5% between 2019 and 2025, according to the report, Indian Logistics Industry Outlook, 2020. It is believed that advancements in digital technologies, changing consumer preferences due to e-commerce, government reforms, and shift in service sourcing strategies are expected to lead the transformation of the Indian logistics ecosystem.
Logistics is something that we all rely on every day. While getting stuff from ‘A’ to ‘B’ may seem simple, doing it a million times a year, across difficult terrains and in remote corners is about as complicated as it gets.
“We cover every square inch of India. Last mile connectivity, timely delivery and quick-decision making helped us in disrupting the logistics space," shares Rubal Jain, MD, Safexpress.
Safexpress operates on 1,618 routes and delivers 100 million packages a year to over 5,000 corporates across India. It has been playing an important role in redefining the logistics sector through its innovative approaches and deployment of technology.
“The need to upgrade to Oracle ERP cloud was a logical outcome of Safexpress’s business transformation, technology strategy and roadmap. With Platform and Cloud strategy being the core pillars of our IT roadmap, we strongly shaped our transformation vision around the fact that the upcoming era is going to be centered on platforms and not products. This gave us the ability and dexterity to adapt to the market dynamics, constantly innovate and ensure that we cater to our customers, far and wide," shared Kapil Mahajan, Group CIO, Safexpress.
