Vi (Vodafone Idea) is India’s fastest 4G on both download and upload speeds offering a backbone to thousands of new businesses and everyone with a dream and the passion to make it a reality.
The lockdown brought big challenges for businesses across the country, with closure of premises, an acute shortage of manpower and revenues plummeting. But, for a select few, it came as an opportunity to use this phase to pursue their dreams.
Take the case of 42-year-old Hemant Talwar, who launched a food delivery business in August 2020, just after the lockdown got lifted. This software engineer had a passion for cooking, but a nine-to-nine corporate job left him with no time to explore much.
The lockdown offered him with an opportunity to cook not only for the family, but gave him a business idea. “There were so many elderly couples and working professionals around me looking out for healthy meal choices since they had no cooks or maids to assist them. I saw a huge opportunity to turn my passion into a business idea and decided to take the leap of faith," he says.
What started from his home kitchen in an upscale condominium in Gurgaon was soon a thriving business. He needed to scale to keep up with the demand so he opened a cloud kitchen in the vicinity and tied up with food delivery aggregators to scale the model.
“The big challenge in all this was finding not just reliable Internet connectivity but also something that’s superfast. Because my then network was slow and that would end up slowing down my entire process. This was becoming very embarrassing and affecting my ratings on delivery apps. So, I switched to Vi’s 4G network and there hasn’t been a red-faced moment since that day. I was able to do everything from building the brand, to setting up, to marketing from my phone through my new network. My order volumes have grown exponentially and so have my ratings ," Talwar added.
Two young kids at home and a hectic job at a multinational Insurance firm were already taking a toll on 34-year-old Supreeta Singh prior to the lockdown. “But once the lockdown was announced, I found it impossible to manage home, online classes of my kids and my own work. One fine day when I just couldn’t take it anymore, I put down my papers and decided to follow my passion – teaching. I saw a job opportunity for an online tutoring portal and decided to give it a shot," Singh says.
After three gruelling rounds of interviews, she made it. “In spite of my child also attending virtual classes through my hotspot I could go live instantly and was able to upload videos and assignments smoothly for my students sitting in different parts of the country . The Vi network is really the best," she further added.
For many like Talwar and Singh, the fastest network had a direct impact on their growing business and played a pivotal role in helping them pursue their passion. For a country like India with nearly 700 million internet users in 2020, which is projected to grow to 974 million by 2025. Indian mobile data users consume 8.3 gigabits (GB) of data on an average every month, which is way higher than advanced digital economies like China (5.5 GB) according to the ‘Digital India’ report by McKinsey Global Institute.
With the accelerated shift to digital after the Covid-19 pandemic, and increasing reliance on the Internet, it is imperative to choose a future-ready network built on a strong foundation of right technology to take us through our professional and personal journeys in this digital first world.
According to Ookla Oct-Dec 2020 report, the vastly improved network continues to be the fastest 4G in India on both downloads & uploads. What that means is, Vi delivers superfast speeds to help you do everything online, faster. As India takes the giant leap towards 5G connectivity, which is expected to be a key driver for Industrial Revolution 4.0 and form the backbone for emerging technologies such as IoT, mobile networks need to be future ready. In that direction, Vi is built on a foundation of 5G architecture and will be among the first to introduce Indian customers to all the latest advances in telecom technologies.
So, it’s clear that Vi powered by GIGAnet, India’s fastest 4G, is the best suited network for helping you get ahead faster in life, both for today and tomorrow.
