HCL Tech Q3 Results Highlights: HCL Technologies, the third largest IT services company in India reported a 13.5% sequential rise in its consolidated net profit (attributable to shareholders) to ₹4,350 crore in Q3 FY24 against ₹3832 crore in Q2FY24. The company's revenue increased by 6.65% QoQ to ₹28,446 crore in the quarter under review.
The IT major surpassed the market expectations of an 11% rise in profit to deliver a strong PAT of ₹ ₹4,350 crore in the October-December quarter of the current financial year. The company's revenue growth also surpassed the market expectations.
Its consolidated net profit increased by 6.2% YoY from Rs4,096 crore in the year-ago period. Whereas, its consolidated revenue from operations jumped by 6.5% on year from ₹26,700 crore in Q3FY23.
In Constant Currency (CC) terms, the company's revenue increased by 6% sequentially, and 4.3% annually to $3,415 million. Its operating margin jumped by 19.8% to ₹5,615 crore, up 140 basis points QoQ. The company's net income stood increased by 13.8% QoQ and 7.4% YoY, to ₹4,350 crore.
HCL Tech's board of directors approved an interim dividend of Rs12 per equity share of ₹2 each of the company for the Financial Year 2023-24.
The company's attrition rate declined to 12.8% in the quarter under review from 14.2% in the previous quarter of the current financial year.
Talking about HCL Tech's segment-wise performance, the growth was led by its telecommunications,media, publishing, and entertainment segment which grew by 25.9% QoQ. The manufacturing sector was the second-largest contributor in the company's growth with a 7.6% expansion on a sequential basis. Retail and CPG grew 2.9% sequentially. However, the company's life sciences and healthcare shrunk by 3.2% QoQ, and financial services was down 1.3%.
