IREDA Q1 Live Updates: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA), the renewable sector financier, announced its April-June quarter results for fiscal 2024-25 (Q1FY25) on Friday, July 12, reporting a rise of 30 per cent in net profit to ₹383 crore. The total revenue from operations rose 32 per cent to ₹1,501 crore, compared to ₹1,143.50 crore in the year-ago period. The loan sanctions grew manifold by over 380 per cent in the Juen quarter.
The multibagger PSU stock jumped over seven per cent to hit a record high ahead of the release of Q1 results today. IREDA shares settled 0.37 per cent higher at ₹284.65 apiece on the BSE before announcing Q1 results.

As the largest pure-play green financing NBFC in the country, IREDA stated that it has achieved a new industry standard by publishing its audited financial results within only 12 days. Revenue from operations increased to ₹1,501.71 crore in the quarter under review from ₹1,143.50 crore in the year-ago period.
The loan sanction also increased to ₹9,210.22 in the first quarter of the fiscal from ₹1,892.45 crore a year ago· The loan disbursement also increased ₹5,325.88 crore in the quarter against 3,173.27 crore. The loan book also increased to ₹63,206.78 crore from ₹47,206.66 crore in the year-ago period.
IREDA has successfully reduced its net non-performing assets to 0.95 per cent in the first quarter of FY 2024-25 from 1.61 per cent in the same quarter of FY 2023-24, it stated. The company’s net worth as of June 30, 2024, has reached ₹9,110.19 crore from ₹6,290.40 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 44.83 per cent.

IREDA reported a rise of 30.2 per cent in net profit, compared to ₹294.6 crore in the year-ago period. The net-interest income (NII) rose 37 per cent to ₹507.9 crore, compared to ₹369 crore.
IREDA on Monday said it posted manifold growth in its sanctioned loan to ₹9,136 crore during April-June FY25.
Loan disbursements also rose 67.61 per cent to ₹5,320 crore in the period under review from ₹3,174 crore in the year-ago period.
The total loan book outstanding as of June 30, 2024 was at ₹63,150 crore, up 33.77 per cent over ₹47,207 crore in April-June FY24, IREDA said in a statement.
Brokerage firms, tracking the stock, expect the company to report a strong set of numbers on a yearly basis. However, they are expecting a mixed set of numbers on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis.
Domestic brokerage firm Phillip Capital expects the company to report a net interest income of 501.8 crore up 40.8 per cent YoY and 12 per cnet QoQ. Net interest margins (NIMs) may contract marginally on a sequential basis, coming in at 3.55 per cent but YoY growth is seen at 41 basis points (bps).
According to the business update, IREDA's domestic mutual funds reduced their stake in the company, opting to book profits as the stock reached new highs. As of June 30, Mutual funds hold a 0.24 per cent stake in IREDA, down from half a per cent at the end of March 2024. The total loan book outstanding as of June 30, 2024 was at ₹63,150 crore, up 33.77 per cent over ₹47,207 crore in April-June FY24, IREDA said in a statement.

The stock has seen interest from foreign investors. In the quarter that ended June 30, the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) increased their ownership in the company to 2.7 percent, up from 1.36 percent in the previous quarter.

Nifty 50 hit a fresh all-time high of 24,592.20, while the Sensex made a fresh peak of 80,893.51 during the session.
Nifty 50 jumped 186 points, or 0.77 per cent, to settle at a fresh closing high of 24,502.15. The Sensex also settled at its fresh closing high of 80,519.34 with a gain of 622 points, or 0.78 per cent.

There will likely be an increased focus on renewable energy to achieve the ambitious goal of sourcing 50% of India's electricity needs from renewable sources by 2030.
The company is engaged in promoting, developing, and extending financial assistance for projects related to new and renewable sources of energy, energy efficiency, and conservation. We remain positive on the long-term growth prospects of the company.

The bond issuance consisted of base issue of ₹500 crore and green shoe option of ₹1,000 crore, received an overwhelming response from investors, being oversubscribed 2.65 times, the company had said in an exchange filing. The funds were raised at an annual interest rate of 7.44% for a tenure of 10 years and 2 months.
