Bengaluru: Online retailer Flipkart has introduced a multi-brand rewards ecosystem ‘SuperCoins’ as it looks to enhance its loyalty program for regular users. Expected to be out in July, SuperCoins will work as a rewards ecosystem for Flipkart Plus users. With this they can not only shop on Flipkart, but across over 100 partner brands including Zomato, Oyo, PhonePe and MakeMyTrip.
Simply put, customers can earn SuperCoins on all Flipkart and partner transactions, in turn redeeming them for rewards.
“SuperCoins is built on our learnings from the Flipkart Plus Customer program, where we have seen successful adoption of rewards and how it can positively shape consumer demand and experience,” said Prakash Sikaria, vice president of growth and monetization at Flipkart. “With SuperCoins, customers will now be rewarded for doing everything they love, agnostic of which brand services they avail, and it will all be managed on one single platform.”
Flipkart had launched its customer loyalty programme Flipkart Plus in August last year in a bid to take on its rival Amazon’s Prime programme.
