  • The car’s mild hybrid engine provides higher fuel efficiency and also helps lowering emissions

GREATER NOIDA : Maruti Suzuki has launched the all new Vitara Brezza on day 2 at the Auto Expo 2020. The new car comes with a petrol engine, the first since its launch back in 2016. Maruti Suzuki launched the all-new Brezza with a 1.5-liter smart hybrid petrol engine.

The car’s smart hybrid petrol engine provides higher fuel efficiency and also helps lowering emissions. The Brezza will also get automatic transmission.

The engine produces 105PS power with 138Nm of torque which is mated to a 5-speed manual. The company is also offering an 4-speed automatic variant. The mild-hybrid tech will only be found in the automatic variant. The company claims that car will manage to yield a mileage of 17.03 kmpl for the manual variant and 18.76 for the automatic hybrid variant.

In terms of aesthetics, the updated Brezza comes with a fresh look headlight and a new character grille. The diamond cut alloys and renewed tail lights also add to the car’s updated look. On the inside, the car gets Maruti’s SmartPlay studio and a leather wrapped steering wheel.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was one of the first adopters of the sub-compact SUV form factor. The car managed to get Maruti the necessary numbers in the SUV segment. Since the launch of Brezza in 2016, the car was only sold with a diesel variant. The growing emission standards and push towards cleaner fuels has forced Maruti Suzuki to bring a BS VI compliant petrol variant of the car.

The mild upgrade brings a few new features as well.
