With this announcement, Singh becomes the first celebrity endorser to promote the snack brand.
The actor will be the face of the brand on all its advertising across multiple media touch points, both offline and online.
The company said that the actor’s quintessential quirky avatar will be leveraged in the brand advertising, which is also known for its fun and irreverent ads. Under the brand Bingo, ITC food sells a variety of finger snacks, including potato chips, Tedhe Medhe, Mad Angles, Tangles and No Rulz.
“We are delighted to have Ranveer Singh on board as his personality exemplifies quirkiness and originality like no other, which is in absolute sync with the brand’s ethos. With this association, ITC aims to break further barriers and scale new heights in the snacking space," said Hemant Malik, divisional chief executive, foods division, ITC Ltd.
ITC’s packaged foods business is represented in multiple categories including staples (Aashirvaad), spices (Kitchens of India), ready-to-eat, snack foods (Bingo! and Yippee!), bakery & confectionery (Sunfeast) and the newly introduced juices & beverages (B Natural) as well as Candyman and mint-o.
