British actor Katrina Kaif is set to enter the beauty and make-up industry. The official launch of her brand’s make-up products, which she personally worked on, is expected in October, or in the first week of November, Katrina told the HT-MintAsia Leadership Summit 2019 in Singapore.
She was set to share the stage with Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan at the session, but he was unable to attend the event due to an illness. Nevertheless, he joined the event online, cheering the audience with his casual talk.
In her conversation with Sonal Kalra, managing editor (entertainment and lifestyle), Hindustan Times, Katrina shared her experiences during the shooting of her 2009 film De Dana Dan in Singapore.
To a question on how she compares herself with those in the industry who have come from a film background, she answered: “I don’t categorize people with their background. How they follow their passion and chase their dreams really matter." “It is not what comes after the movie is released, it (depends) on how I worked hard for each scene and how I enjoyed doing the role," she said.
Mentioning the movie Zero, Katrina said: “It was the most challenging role ever, as it required breaking the stereotype of alcoholic roles done in most of the movies."
She advised teenagers and youngsters to be careful about their postings on social media platforms. “What is seen on the social media is not the real life of anybody, the pictures are just selected moments and one’s life cannot be read with just one post," she noted.
