‘Loaded’ tracks four startup founders who become multimillionaires after a US corporation buys their company, and the embarrassment-of-riches anxiety that follows
It’s every startup founder’s mission statement—build product, have company acquired, become millionaire overnight. Loaded makes that dream come true for four young men with a gaming startup in London.
They’ve built just one “fairly life-draining" game, but suddenly they go from begging for bank overdrafts to buying helicopters, semi-circular mansions and all the Birkenstocks in every size from one store.
Apart from the anxiety of having too much money, the acquisition has brought them another problem—a venture capital boss from the US who sets targets and counts time and beans. The four man-children turned overnight millionaires are close friends—unlike other startup shows where everyone is usually going at everyone else but money changes their relationships, as well as their relationships with others.
Part comedy, part moral drama, Loaded is about four “bro-buddies" whose dreams and nightmares come true as they burn their way through a massive bank balance.
