BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore announced the results at a press conference where he made announcements about the names of board exam toppers, pass percentages and more.
Candidates can check their scores and download scorecards at the official website using roll code and roll number. The result link will be activated once the press conference concludes.
After the announcement of the result, a major discrepancy was found on the list of toppers. According to the toppers's list, the roll numbers of topper student Shivankar Kumar and that of third topper, Palak Kumari, are the same, reported Jagran.
The passing percentage of students in the Class 10th Bihar Board examination improved this year compared to 2014. This year’s passing percentage is 82.91% whereas it was 81.04% in the previous year, i.e. 2023.
Out of the total 16,64,252 students who appeared in the examination, 13, 79,542 students cleared the examination with flying colours. Among the total 51 students in the top 10 list. Ten students secured first 5 positions while 41 students are in between rank 6 to 10.
Shivankar Kumar of Zilla School, Purnia has topped BSEB class 10 exams with 489 marks (97.80 per cent score).

A total of 6,80,293 boys have qualified the Bihar Board Class 10 examination. At the same time, 6,99,549 girls have passed the exams.

Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) does not permit re-checking of Class 10 answer sheet if a student fails. Students can apply for scrutiny only if they have passed the examination but are unsatisfied with their marks.
Moreover, candidates who fail to qualify the Board exam will have to appear for the compartment examination.

Students are supposed to make sure that the spelling of their name, roll number, date of birth, school name, subjects and other information mentioned on the scorecard is correct after downloading their result from the board website. Inform the school administration in case of error and wait for the hard copies of marks sheet and certificate. Last year, the majority of the candidates 5,11,623 attained second division in BSEB Matric result. The number of students securing first division was 4,74,615. The number of students securing pass division was 19,447.
