NEW DELHI : MBA students of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi got an average annual salary package of 25.6 lakh during campus placements which ended recently. The institute said it is the highest ever CTC package for their students. The highest annual salary package for the 2018-20 batch stood at 58.6 lakh.

"The average package increased by 11% over the last year and the median package stood at 23.4 lakh per annum. The average CTC of the top offers stood at 31 LPA. There has been a 36% increase in the number of PPOs (pre-placement offers) and a 42% increase in the number of consulting offers being made as compared to last year," FMS Delhi said in a statement.

For the first time, 75% of the offers were above 20 lakh with average CTC of top quartile at 37.3 lakh. The average CTC for women also increased to 26.2 lakh.

33% of the MBA students got jobs in consulting, strategy and general management domain. Prominent recruiters offering roles in this domain were ABG, Accenture Strategy, Airtel, Bain & Company, Capgemini E.L.I.T.E, EY, Flipkart, Kearney, McKinsey & Company, Shell, TAS, and Xiaomi.

Altogether, there were 219 students who appeared for campus placement interviews after which 88 companies offered 234 jobs. The top 100 students got an average CTC of 31 lakh.

Continuing the trend of last few years, e-commerce companies recruited in large numbers from FMS Delhi. E-commerce giants offered coveted product and program management roles. The operations/IT/e-commerce domain received 26% of the total offers from companies like Amazon, American Express, Cloudtail, Delhivery, Flipkart, Freshworks, Go-MMT, Infoedge, Microsoft and RBS.

A total of 24% offers were made in the FMCG sector and 17% in banking, financial services & insurance (BFSI) domain.
