A 21-year-old female student, who had been preparing for NEET-UG for the last three years, allegedly ended her life by jumping from a multi-storey building in Indore, police said on Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday night and the victim died during treatment on Friday morning, just two days before NEET-UG re-test.

Candidates appearing for the NEET-2026 re-examination, scheduled to be held on June 21, will be able to travel free of cost in the Himachal Road Transport Corporation's ordinary buses, officials said on Friday.

Due to administrative reasons NTA had to change University of Allahabad exam centre.

NTA in a press release dated 18 June stated, “It has been informed by District Administration that due to administrative reasons like ongoing construction work, non-availability of electricity, the examination will be conducted in the adjoining building of University of Allahabad.”
