The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) have concluded the Class 10 (Madhyamik) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary) examinations for 2025. The Madhyamik exams were held from February 10 to February 22, 2025, while the Higher Secondary exams took place between March 3 and March 18, 2025. Results for 12th are set to be announced today in 7th May 2025 at 12:30PM. To pass the Madhyamik examination, students must secure at least 34% overall, equating to a minimum of 272 out of 800 marks. For the Higher Secondary examination, a minimum of 30% in each subject, including both theory and practical components, is required to pass. In 2025, approximately 9.84 lakh students registered for the West Bengal Madhyamik (Class 10) examinations. In the Higher Secondary examinations, (Class 12) around 5.09 lakh candidates appeared in exams. Once released, results can be checked online at wbresults.nic.in by entering roll number and date of birth. Students can also get results via SMS by sending WB10Roll Number or WB12Roll Number to designated numbers. In the 2024 Madhyamik examination, Chandrachur Sen from Cooch Behar topped with 693 marks (99%), followed by Samyapriya Guru with 692 marks (98.86%), and Udayan Prasad with 691 marks (98.71%). For the Higher Secondary examination in 2024, Avik Das from Alipurduar secured the top position with 496 marks (99.2%), with Soumyadip Saha and Abhisek Gupta following with 495 and 494 marks, respectively.
