Free bus travel, 50% rebate in Metro fares for students: Arvind Kejriwal lists 15 guarantees in AAP’s Delhi manifesto

Delhi Elections 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal released party's manifesto comprising of 15 guarantees for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections.

The elections to the 70-member Delhi assembly are scheduled for February 5. The results will be announced on February 8.

The guarantees listed by Kejriwal include mostly promises made by him in his earlier announcements. The Delhi's ruling party has promised jobs, ₹2,100 cash scheme for women, Sanjeevani Yojana for senior citizens, ₹18,000 for Hindu and Sikh priests, waiving off incorrect water bills, if it comes back to power in Delhi, among others.

Led by Arvind Kejriwal, AAP won assembly elections in 2015 and 2020. Before that, the Congress was in power from 1998 until 2013.

“The people of Delhi will save upto ₹25,000 every month with the schemes of Aam Aadmi Party. But if you press the wrong button (BJP) then this ₹25,000 per month will be the additional cost that you will have to bear,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal said that the party will fulfill three promises that the party couldn't complete in its previous terms. These three promises include – free water round the clock, cleaning Yamuna and European-style roads in Delhi.

Among other doles, the AAP has promised Dr Ambedkar scholarship for Dalit students, free bus rides plus 50 per cent concession in Metro rides for students, free electricity and water for tenants, fixing sewers, among others;

Six Existing ‘Revdis’

Kejriwal said the 15 guarantees are in addition to six promises ‘revdis’ that the AAP government has been giving in last two terms. These include subsidy on electricity, water, free pilgrimage for elderly, free health and education.

“Delhi govt will give ₹1 lakh for the wedding of daughters of an auto-rickshaw, taxi and e-rickshaw drivers. Their children will be given free coaching. We will also give life insurance worth ₹10 lakh to them and medical insurance worth ₹5 lakhs for their family members,” Kejriwal said.

3- Free health treatment in government and private hospitals for senior citizens in Sanjeevani Yojna.

5- 24x7 clean drinking water.

7- Repair Delhi Roads on the lines of European standards.

11- Free electricity and water for tenants.

12- Repairing sewer lines within 15 days of new government. All blocked sewage lines to be replaced

13 - Ration card for citizens

14 - Scheme for autorickshaw and e rickshaw drivers with ₹ 1 lakh financial aid for their daughter's marriage, free coaching for children, ₹10 lakh life insurance and 5 lakh health insurance.

15 – Money to Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) for private security.
