Delhi Assembly Elections: Hours after the poll panel announced the schedule for Delhi Assembly Election 2025, Chief Minister Atishi alleged that the BJP-led central government evicted her from her official residence for the second time on Monday night.
Atishi made the allegations while addressing a press conference with Rajya Sabha AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj.
“The schedule for Delhi elections was announced today. Last night, for the second time in three months, the BJP-led central government threw me out of my official residence, which has been allotted to me as the CM,” said Atishi.
The AAP leader claimed that the central government, through a letter, cancelled the allotment of the CM's residence and “snatched away the residence from an elected CM of an elected government.”
Atishi said that the BJP can remove her from her house and abuse her, but that won't stop her from working for the people of Delhi. “In fact, I will work so hard that I will ensure that all our promises are fulfilled efficiently.”
“I want to tell the people of Delhi that if there is a need, I will work from your home with double enthusiasm.”
Targetting BJP, Atishi said that three months before, too, BJP snatched her residence, and despite that, she continued working. “I got the roads repaired, started flyover work, schools were constructed, the tests which were stopped in Mohalla clinic were restarted. BJP should remeber that today when they have again thrown me out of the Chief Minister's residence, I take an oath that I will ensure that women get ₹2,100, senior citizens get free treatments under the Sanjeevani Yojana, pujari's get and granthi gets ₹18,000 honorarium. Each and every party worker and leader of the party is going to work for Delhi.”
Stating that BJP has done the unthinkable, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “BJP has evicted a sitting CM from her official residence! This has never happened in any other state, any other country in the world.”
