The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced the second list of 29 candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.
The party has fielded Kapil Mishra, a former AAP leader, from Karawal Nagar seat.
Harish Khurana, the son of former Delhi chief minister Madan Lal Khurana, has been fielded from the Moti Nagar constituency.
The BJP also fielded Priyanka Gautam, who recently joined the party from AAP, from Kondli assembly seat.
The list came after BJP National President JP Nadda held a meeting with the Delhi Assembly Election Management Committee.
With the second list, the party has so far named candidates for 58 seats.
On January 4, the BJP announced its first list of 29 candidates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
It has fielded former MP Parvesh Verma from the New Delhi seat against ex-chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
The party has named another former MP, Ramesh Bidhuri, from Kalkaji, where Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi is in the fray.
The Delhi assembly polls will be held in a single phase on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.
The last date for filing nominations is January 17.
The date for scrutiny of nominations is January 18 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 20.
Meanwhile, a war of words has intensified between the BJP and AAP.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the BJP has decided to field former MP Ramesh Bidhuri as its chief ministerial candidate, promoting the BJP to dismiss it as a "baseless rumour".
Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused the AAP leader of spreading canard for political mileage.
"Can Kejriwal decide the BJP's chief ministerial face? Who is he to make such claims?" asked Shah while addressing 'Jhuggi Basti Pradhan Sammelan' here.
Shah also accused Kejriwal of attempting to manipulate public perception, asserting that the people of Delhi understood his tactics.
