According to election commission data, BJP's KVR Reddy secured 66,652 votes and led the polls with a margin of 6,741 votes against KCR of BRS and Congress' Revanth Reddy.
The Kamareddy assembly constituency was the hotspot of this election in Telangana, as witnessed a triangle battle among Telangana Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao, his challenger Congress state unit chief Revanth Reddy, and the BJP's K Venkata Ramana Reddy.
The high-stakes Telangana Assembly saw a triangular contest involving the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) (then Telangana Rashtra Samithi), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress.
Congress has crossed the majority mark in Telangana, clinching 64 seats so far and is set to dethrone the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government.

BJP's KVR Reddy has won from Kamareddy, successfully defeating Congress' Revath Reddy and BRS' K. Chandrashekar Rao in his home turf. Reddy has secured 66652 votes and led the polls with a margin of 6,741 votes against KCR of BRS and Congress' Revanth Reddy. However, Congress has crossed the majority mark in Telangana, clinching 64 seats so far and is set to dethrone the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government.
BJP candidate Katipally Venakata Ramana Reddy is leading by 3,092 votes in the prestigious Kamareddy constituency in Telangana which has outgoing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and state Congress chief A Revanth Reddy as the other contestants. With 16 of 19 rounds of counting having been completed, Venakata Ramana Reddy is ahead of his nearest rival by KCR by 3,092 votes.
As per the latest trends from the ECI, the Congress was leading in 64 seats in 119-member Telangana Assembly. The BRS was leading in 39 seats, BJP in 8, AIMIM in 7 and CPI on 1.

BJP's KVR Reddy is leading from Kamareddy. Reddy has secured 53,261 votes and is leading the polls with a margin of 3,092 votes against KCR of BRS and Congress' Revanth Reddy.
Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy says, "...KTR welcomed Congress' govt...This spirit should continue when we (Congress) run the govt. 10 years you (BRS) were in power and now you will sit in the Opposition. We value the opinion of the Opposition..."
BJP's KVR Reddy is leading from Kamareddy. Reddy has secured 45,436 votes and is leading the polls with a margin of 1,717 votes against KCR of BRS and Congress' Revanth Reddy.
Telangana CM KCR's dream of hitting a hat trick was shattered as Congress has crossed the majority mark in Telangana and is set to dethrone the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government. KCR is now at number three behind Revanth Reddy and the BJP candidate in the Kamareddy Assembly seat, however, he is leading from the Gajwel seat.

The two-storeyed house was partially submerged due to construction of the Upper Manair Dam in 1950. The house that stands tall in the village was left unused and unkept after KCR's maternal grandparents passed away and his parents shifted to Chintamadaka village in erstwhile Medak district when he was an infant, as reported by PTI.
