Mumbai, Thane Election results LIVE Updates: Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti secured decisive victory in Maharashtra. BJP emerged as the largest party in Maharashtra after winning 132 seats in the 288-member Maharashtra assembly.
The counting of votes for 36 seats in Mumbai and 18 seats in Thane region played a decisive role in determining BJP-led Mahayuti's win. Mahayuti will be forming the government as NDA raked in 235 seats. Meanwhile, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MV) secured 50 seats.
Most exit polls predicted Mahayuti's victory in the elections. For Mumbai region, Pradeep Gupta's Axis My India has predicted 26 seats for Mahayuti and 14 seats for MVA.
The island city Mumbai recorded 52.65 per cent polling, while Mumbai suburban recorded 56.39 per cent polling. Thane recorded 56.93 per cent voting.
Three-time MLA and Congress candidate Amin Patel won in Mumbadevi seat by a margin of 34,844 votes. Former BJP leader Shaina NC, who stood secand in vote tally, contested from this seat.
Raj Thackeray's son and MNS candidate Amit Thackeray, and Shiv Sena's Sada Sarvankar lost to Shiv Sena UBT's Mahesh Sawant in Mahim seat. Mahesh Sawant won by a narrow margin of 13,16 votes.
Daughter of former MLA Nawab Malik, Sana Malik, won by a margin of 3,378 votes in Maharashtra's Anushakti Nagar assembly seat. She logged 49,341 votes, while NCP (SCP) candidate Fahad Ahmad stood second with 45,963 votes.
Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi won Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar constituency by a margin of 12,753 votes and logged a total of 54,780 votes, as per Election Commission data.
Controversial Congress leader Nawab Malik struggled to make a mark this time despite Ajit Pawar's backing and stood fourth in the tally with 15,501 votes. Atiquee Ahmad Khan of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen logged 42,027 votes. Meanwhile, Suresh Patel of Shiv Sena, a Mahayuti alliance member alongside NCP, occupied the third place with 35,263 votes.
Shiv Sena's (Eknath Shinde) candidate Sanjay Nirupam lost to Shiv Sena UBT's Sunil Prabhu by a narrow margin of 6,182 votes in Dindoshi seat.
In Vandre East seat, sitting MLA and NCP candidate Zeeshan Siddique lost to Varun Sardesai of Shiv Sena (UBT) by 11,365 votes. Late Baba Siddique son failed to retain the seat even after logging in 46,343 votes.
Sanjay Raut's brother and Shiv Sena UBT candidate Sunil Raut who contested from Vikhroli, has secured the seat by a margin of 15,526 votes against former corporator and Shiv Sena candidate Suvarna Karanje.
BJP's Mihir Kotecha, who contested from Mulund, has secured the seat by a wide margin of 90,032 votes. Congress' Rakesh Shetty stood as runner-up with only 41,517 vote tally.
In Malad West, Congress MLA Aslam Shaikh won against BJP's Vinod Shelar by a small margin of 6,227 votes. Aslam Shaikh logged in 98,202 while runner-up Vinod Shelar notched 91,975 votes.
BJP's Manisha Chaudhary emerged victorious from Dahisar seat by a margin of 44,329 votes. She notched in 98,587 votes, while Shiv Sena UBT candidate Vinod Ghosalkar, who secured second place, logged in 54258 votes.
Maharashtra's richest candidate Parag Shah, who contested from Ghatkopar East, won the seat and logged in 85,388 votes. Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) candidate Jadhav Rakhee Harishchandra lost by a margin of 34,999 votes.
Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde, who contested from Kopri-Pachpakhadi, won by a margin of 12,0717 seats against Kedar Dighe, nephew of Anand Dighe and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) candidate.
Shiv Sena UBT leader Aaditya Uddhav Thackeray won Worli seat by logging in 63,324 votes. Shiv Sena candidate Milind Murli Deora, who gave a tough fight, lost by a margin of 8,801 votes.

Dr Gaikwad Eknath (Congress) wins by 23,459 votes over Rajesh Khandare (SS-Shinde) in Dharavi.
Rahul Narwekar (BJP) won by 48,581 votes over Hira Dewasi (Congress) in Colaba.
Manoj Jamsutkar (SS-UBT) won by 31,361 votes over Yamini Jadhav (SS-Shinde) in Byculla.
Tukaram Ramkrushna Kate of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) is leading by 10,822 votes over Prakash Vaikunth Phaterpekar of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) in the Chembur constituency.
Sanjay Upadhyay of the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading by over 95,000 votes against Sanjay Waman Bhosale of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) in the Borivali constituency.
Ashok Dharmaraj Patil of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) is leading by 2,877 votes over Ramesh Gajanan Korgaonkar of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) in the Bhandup West constituency.
Sana Malik of Congress is leading by 3,378 votes against Fahad Ahmad of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) in the Anushakti Nagar constituency.
Ameet Bhaskar Satam of the BJP is leading by 14,322 votes against Ashok Bhau Jadhav of the Congress in the Andheri West constituency.
Murji Patel (Kaka) of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) is leading by 25,733 votes over Rutuja Ramesh Latke of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) in the Andheri East constituency.
