New Delhi: News Services Division of national public radio broadcaster All India Radio (NSD-AIR) has a lot of plans to provide authentic and timely results of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in four states as they come out this week.
For the first time, AIR will broadcast special programmes centered around election results non-stop for 40 hours with correspondents providing live updates of counting and studio experts analysing the same, a statement from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said. AIR News will bring out Special Janadesh 2019, a bilingual programme in Hindi and English - from 7 am on 23 May to 11 pm on 24 May. The programme will be broadcast on AIR FM Gold and other channels. It will also be available live on the official YouTube channel of AIR News.
Similarly, all 46 regional news units of AIR throughout the country will mount special programmes and news bulletins in regional languages of their respective states. Hourly news bulletins will be available across the country through various channels like FM Gold, FM Rainbow, Vividh Bharati and other local channels of AIR. Results will also be available on the NSD-AIR website and Twitter handle.
