BJP leader files complaint against Kejriwal’s wife for having 2 voter ID cards

  • The complainant alleged that Sunita Kejriwal has two voter identity cards, one from Ghaziabad and another from Chandni Chowk
  • Earlier this month, AAP leader had filed a criminal complaint against BJP's Gambhir for holding two voter cards

New Delhi: In a counter to Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) allegations of Gautam Gambhir possessing two voter identity cards, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Harish Khurana on Monday filed a criminal complaint at Tis Hazari courts against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal for possessing two voter ID cards.

The complainant alleged that Sunita Kejriwal has two voter identity cards each from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and another from Chandni Chowk in New Delhi.

"…That the accused being highly qualified and holding responsible post in the Income Tax Department being an IRS Officer, is privy to the consequences of committing electoral offences and has deliberately and intentionally made false statement before the authority at the time of inclusion of the name in the Electoral Roll from the another constituency and made statement/declaration in writing which is false… to cause benefit to either herself, her husband or her political party," the complaint read.

Earlier this month, AAP’s East Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Atishi had filed a criminal complaint against Gambhir, the BJP’s candidate for the same seat, for holding two voter cards.
