New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to unveil the manifesto of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the roadmap of what the party wants to achieve in the coming five years.
The announcement is expected on Monday when Modi along with other members of the parliamentary board will reach the BJP headquarters to release the manifesto of the party. This is the first manifesto of BJP which will be released with Modi as the prime minister.
"Prime Minister will be present and the entire leadership of BJP will also be present," said a senior BJP leader who is part of the committee to prepare the manifesto.
With the idea of development of marginalised section of people, the manifesto is expected to talk about the problem of rural distress, job creation and providing a corruption free government. The union government has already announced the PM Kisan scheme which promises to give Rs.6000 to farmers annually. It is expected to benefit at least 12 crore small and marginal farmers and the first installment of Rs.2000 has already been given to at least 2 crore farmers.
BJP had tried to reach out to people for their suggestions and had placed 1500 suggestion boxes in assembly constituencies so that people can give their suggestions. This is the first time when BJP has tried to crowd source it's manifesto and asked people to give their ideas for the document.
In the course of the manifesto preparations, BJP leaders said that one of the over riding themes which was suggested by the people was on national security and dealing with terrorists.
