According to the Election Commission's data, PM Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections by a margin of 1,52,513. This vistory margin has significantly narrowed as compared to the 2019 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
In 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, PM Modi had won the 2019 Lok Sabha polls by a margin of 4,79,505 votes (45.2%). In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, he won by a margin of 3,71,784 votes (36.14 %).
Prime Minister Narendra won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat for the third time on Saturday.
“INDIA alliance fought this election on ground issues and PM Modi wanted to contest this election on ‘mujra, ‘mandir-masjid’, ‘mangalsutra’. Public told him that he would need to go if he tried to contest the election in the name of religion,” said Congress leader Ragini Nayak.
As many as 8257 votes have been polled fot NOTA in Varanasi so far.
