Patna Election Result Highlights: According to the latest trends on the Election Commission of India’s website, Ratnesh Kumar of the BJP has secured victory in Patna Sahib after all 31 rounds of counting.

Shashant Shekhar (Congress): 91,466 votes
Vinita Mishra (Jan Suraaj Party): 5,263 votes
This marks a decisive win in a key BJP bastion.
Patna, one of the key districts in the state, has 14 assembly constituencies, namely Patna Sahib, Mokama, Barh, Bakhtiarpur, Bikram, Masaurhi, Paliganj, Maner, Danapur, Phulwari, Fatuha, Bankipur, Kumhrar and Digha.
Patna Sahib, an urban assembly constituency, has Muslim population of about 17% of the electorate. Senior BJP leader and current Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav has secured victory seven times in a row, four times from Patna East and three times from Patna Sahib since 2010, consistently expanding his winning margin with each election.
Reportedly, this constituency has 3,88,369 registered voters for the 2025 Assembly election. As per data from the Election Commission, the voter turnout in this constituency was 52.22% in 2020, compared to 55.29% in 2015 and 45.86% in 2010.
Meanwhile, Bihar recorded a historic voter turnout of 66.91%, the highest in the state’s electoral history since 1951.

According to the latest trends on the Election Commission of India's (ECI) website for the Patna Sahib constituency, the BJP has widened its lead over the Congress by 38,460 votes after 30 of 31 rounds of counting.

The JD(U) has won five seats, including Mokama, and was leading in 79 other constituencies in Bihar, according to the Election Commission.
Former Bihar minister Rana Randhir of the BJP retained Madhuban seat for the third time, by winning the constituency by a margin of 5,492 votes. BJP candidate Raju Kumar Singh won Sahebganj seat by a margin of 13,522 votes. The saffron party was leading in 91 other seats. (PTI)
The BJP-led NDA appeared to register a landslide victory in Bihar, opening up impressive leads in more than 180 of the state's 243 assembly seats, with early trends also indicating that the saffron party was on track to post its biggest tally with an excellent strike rate.
According to trends available on the Election Commission's website by noon, the BJP was set to emerge as the single-largest party with a lead in more than 80 assembly seats out of 101 it contested, a performance that would further cement its position as the numero uno political force in the country, offsetting whatever setback that might have been caused by last year’s Lok Sabha polls. As the third round of vote counting begins for the Mokama assembly constituency in Bihar's Patna district, the early trends show jailed Janata Dal (United) MLA Anant Kumar Singh leading by a close margin of 700 votes against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Veena Devi.
Meanwhile, Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) candidate Priyadarshi Piyush trails by a margin of 10,536 votes.
Anant Singh is leading from the Mokama constituency, according to the EC.
