Aishwarya Rai’s car ramped by bus in Mumbai, no major damage reported

Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai's car collided with a bus in Mumbai on Wednesday. When cops arrived at the scene, no major damage had been caused. While there's no update regarding the actor's health, Live Mint couldn't verify if Aishwarya was alone in the car or with her family.

A video of the incident has surfaced online.

The video features Aishwarya's car being hit by a red bus from behind. The incident created chaos on the road. While her staff stepped out of the car, the actor was not seen. However, the car's number plate was verified as belonging to Aishwarya.

Going by the video, her car did not suffer any serious damage.

Cops rushed to the spot. After some time, Aishwarya's car took off.

Aishwarya at Ashutosh Gowarikar's son's wedding

Aishwarya Rai was last seen publicly at filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar's son, Konark Gowarikar's wedding to Niyati Kanakia. The wedding was held in March 2025.

The star-studded event was attended by the who's who of the film industry. Among them was the Bachchan family.

For the film, Aishwarya had won the Best Actress in a Leading Role (Critics) award at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) in Dubai. The epic historical action drama, was released in 2023.

Besides Aishwarya, the film also starred Vikram, Ravi Mohan, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others.

Ponniyin Selvan follows Prince Arulmozhi Varman (who would become the emperor Rajaraja I) and his family as they tackle threats to the Chola Empire.

The film marked Aishwarya's reunion with Mani Ratnam.

Aishwarya is yet to announce her upcoming film.
