Rajnikanth has wrapped up the shooting of his much anticipated movie ‘Coolie,' and fans cannot keep calm.

The makers of the movie, Sun Pictures, revealed the big update on their social media account on X, formerly Twitter.

“It's a super wrap for #Coolie 🔥,” Sun Pictures announced, tagging its lead actors Rajnikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruti Hassan, Pooja Hegde, the thriller's director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, among others.

Rumours have been rife, that the Rajnikanth starrer movie migt be released on August 14, 2025. Although the makers of Coolie are yet to zero in on a final date, reports suggest that August 14 had been initially finalised.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has a special cameo in the Coolie movie. Sources have mentioned that the PK actor's segment is ‘crucial’ to the movie's storyline, reported TOI Entertainment.

Netizens speculate Coolie's release date

Several netizens flooded the comments section of Sun Picture's post, asking if they would be able to see the Rajnikanth blockbuster on the big screens on August 14.

As per some Tamil media reports, the makers of Coolie have set aside a few potential release dates in September and October, which align with the major festivals of Onam and Diwali. These dates are being considered for the film's release to capitalise on the festive seasons when audiences are more likely to watch movies.

Sun Pictures will soon finalise the release date, which will also determine the schedule for other Tamil films and major releases from other languages.
