Director Ram Gopal Varma took to X to share his thoughts on Dhurandhar 2 and the absolute mayhem it has caused on the box office.
He started the post mentioning that Aditya Dhar has ‘exploded an atomic bomb’ with Dhurandhar The Revenge.
Varma wrote, “Now that @AdityaDharFilms has EXPLODED a ATOMIC BOMB right under the film industry, what is shocking is the loud silence from the rest of the film industry (sic).”

Following the success of Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer Singh was seen posing alongside Shah Rukh Khan at a star-studded gathering in Mumbai.
Both actors attended the birthday celebration of Mishka Kamboj, daughter of businessman Mohit Kamboj. The event drew significant attention after a photograph from the party surfaced online, capturing SRK and Ranveer smiling together with friends.
The image quickly went viral on social media, with fans reacting enthusiastically to the rare appearance of the two stars together at the high-profile celebration.
Day 11 earnings are majorly from the Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2. The original, Hindi version grossed ₹17.31 crore with an occupancy of 45% across 6,589 shows so far. The Telugu version has contributed ₹60 lakh, kickstarting the day with a 28% occupancy from 497 shows. The Tamil version has added ₹25 lakh with a 40% occupancy across 179 shows in India
Dhurandhar 2 is likely to gross ₹1,000 crore in India today, as predicted by film trade analysts. Considering the early estimates, Dhurandhar 2's total India gross is now ₹951.87 crore, including a net collection of ₹796.93 crore domestically.
However, these are live data and are subject to change. The final figures will be out at the end of the day.
The Aditya Dhar film is close to surpassing the India lifetime collection of last year's Dhurandhar which minted ₹ ₹840.20 crore net.
Dhurandhar 2 saw a bigger opening day at the box office than its hit prequel, which was 2025's highest grosser in India. The film opted for a different strategy, releasing as a pan-India film this time. It offered paid previews whose pre-sales began a week before the scheduled date, giving ample time to fans to advance book their seats in selected theatres. As a result, Dhurandhar 2 opened to ₹43 crore business from previews only.
The film witnessed a massive jump on Day 1, its official release day, raking in ₹102.55 crore. It continued its momentum into the weekend, peaking with ₹114.85 crore on its first Sunday. Despite the expected weekday drop, the film remained mostly steady, closing its first week at ₹674.17 crore net.
Entering its second weekend, the last instalment of the two-part film recorded a solid traction once again, with ₹41.75 crore earning on Day 9 followed by a healthy jump to ₹62.85 crore on Day 10. On Day 11 (second Sunday), the film is expected to cross ₹1,000 crore mark (gross) domestically.
Worldwide, Dhurandhar has hit ₹1,200 crore. It recently beat Kalki 2898 AD and KGF: Chapter 2 with its overseas collection. It is currently eyeing Baahubali 2 lifetime collection.
Amid Dhurandhar 2's box office success, reports claimed that Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, Bhooth Bangla pushed its release to allow space between the films. Reportedly, it also cancelled its trailer release this week for the same reason.
However, the makers, including producer Ektaa Kapoor, is yet to make the official announcement.
