It’s been 15 days since Dhurandhar: The Revenge first lit up cinema screens across India. The film still continues to demonstrate the kind of staying power that separates genuine blockbusters from films that simply open big.
Dhurandhar 2 preview shows on Day 0 brought in ₹43 crore net from 11,294 shows at 54.8% occupancy. The opening day, Day 1, delivered ₹102.55 crore net from 21,633 shows at 56.6%.
The first weekend pushed numbers higher for Ranveer Singh's movie. Saturday earned ₹113 crore at 73.5%, and Sunday peaked at ₹114.85 crore at 76.1% from 21,202 shows.
The weekdays held admirably. Monday brought ₹65 crore, Tuesday ₹56.60 crore and Wednesday ₹48.75 crore. Day 8, the second Thursday, added ₹49.70 crore from 19,493 shows at 35.1%. The Week 1 total was ₹674.17 crore net.
The second weekend showed director Aditya Dhar's genuine audience depth. Day 9, the second Friday, earned ₹41.75 crore from 18,456 shows at 31.5%. Then came the second weekend revival.
Saturday brought ₹62.85 crore at 44.8%, for Dhurandhar 2, and Sunday went further with ₹68.10 crore from 19,270 shows at 48.5%.
The second weekdays settled into a steady rhythm. Day 12 collected ₹25.30 crore from 17,614 shows at 23.5%. Day 13 added ₹27.25 crore from 17,883 shows at 26.1%. Day 14 brought ₹20.10 crore from 17,906 shows at 19.8%.
Day 15, the third Thursday, earned ₹17.80 crore from 17,030 shows at 18.1%. The Week 2 total was ₹263.15 crore net.
Hindi led comfortably with ₹16.50 crore from 14,917 shows at 18%. Telugu followed with ₹0.85 crore from 1,231 shows at 19%, matching Kannada and Tamil for the highest occupancy of the day.
Tamil collected ₹30 lakh from 640 shows at 19%. Kannada earned ₹10 lakh from 144 shows at 19%. Malayalam brought in ₹5 lakh from 98 shows at 18%.
The India net collection now stands at ₹937.32 crore, with the India gross at ₹1,122.17 crore. Overseas, the film added ₹5 crore on Day 15, taking the total overseas gross to ₹370 crore.
That pushes the worldwide gross to ₹1,492.17 crore. The film is still running in full steam.
On Day 15, Dhurandhar: The Revenge earned ₹16.50 crore net in Hindi. It was the second-highest 15th-day collection ever for a Hindi film, behind only its own predecessor.
Dhurandhar leads this list with ₹22.50 crore on Day 15. The first film in the franchise had something that Part 2 does not: Akshaye Khanna.
Many believe Khanna, who plays Rehman Dakait, was the real hero of the film. Ranveer played a more subdued character since he was gearing up for a stronger role in the sequel.
On Day 15, Pushpa 2 sits third with ₹14 crore, followed by Chhaava at ₹13 crore. Then, Baahubali 2 is there with ₹10.05 crore.
