A week after its release on OTT, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut's Emergency reigned number one on Netflix. The actor-turned-MP has since been sharing fresh reactions and reviews for it on Instagram.

Among the many positive reviews that the actress received for her movie, a person suggested that Emergency should win an Oscar.

However, Kangana dismissed the idea, called the award “silly,” and claimed that America is a bully who “suppresses, arm twists developing nations.”

“#EmergencyOnNetflix should go for the Oscars from India. Kangana, what a film,” a person wrote in a tweet.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta said he had “prejudged” Emergency but was pleasantly surprised by the “top-notch and world-class film”.

“Today I watched EMERGENCY by @KanganaTeam. Very frankly I wasn't planning to as I had prejudged it. I am so glad that I was wrong. What a fantastic film by Kangana both performance & direction. Top Notch & World Class,” Gupta wrote.

A viewer also praised Kangana's acting in the movie. “People are calling my acting in #emergency amazing and my best ever, could I surpass Queen, TWM2, Fashion, Thalaivi? Watch #emergency and find out,” the actress responded.
