KH x RK Reunion: Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan! Two superstars are all set to star in an upcoming film for the first time. On Saturday, the two treated fans to the official announcement of their film which will be helmed by director Nelson Dilipkumar. A musical by Anirudh Ravichander, the film title is not out yet.

On Saturday, the makers dropped an announcement video, starring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
The announcement video begins with director Nelson, who is seen pacing the corridor and wondering which superstar--Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan-- he should approach first. As he is unable to decide which superstar's room he should enter first, composer Anirudh Ravichander walks in. Ravichander arrives with his own problem as he asks Nelson to pick between the two raagas he should opt for. He holds up two fingers as the composer tells him, “Pick one when in doubt”.
Following the same trick, Nelson decides to enter Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan's rooms one after another. Both the superstars are seen getting ready when Nelson assists them to avoid wearing what the other veteran is wearing.
The clip shifts to a garage where Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan make a grand entry in style. They head towards a car parked in the dimly lit area as Rajinikanth tosses the car keys to Kamal Haasan. The two get inside the car in full swag. But Nelson and Anirudh Ravichander must answer their burning question-- who is the hero of the film?
“Presenting the Glimpse of KH x RK Reunion Starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan & Super Star Rajinikanth Directed by Nelson & Music by Anirudh,” it read.
The untitled film is bankrolled by Red Giant Movies. It marks Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan's onscreen reunion after 47 years ago.
Sharing the film annoucement video, Kamal Haasan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “A Special reunion with my friend @Rajinikanth. Every great journey deserves another chapter! My best to @NelsonDilpkumar and @AnirudhOfficial - and to @RedGiantMovies for powering this collaboration. #KHxRK #RedGiant17.”
