Ram Charan movie ‘Peddi’ first look unveiled: Fans spot close resemblance to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and KGF: Chapter 1

Ram Charan movie first look was unveiled on Thursday, March 27, on the occasion of his birthday. The makers shared two posters, revealing the Telugu superstar's fierce avatar in the upcoming movie. Besides this, the makers also revealed the title - ‘Peddi’ - on the occasion of Ram Charan's 40th birthday.

Wishing Ram Charan Happy Birthday, the makers in a post on Instagram wrote, "𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃, 𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 #RC16 is #PEDDI Happy Birthday, Global Star @AlwaysRamCharan".

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, 'Peddi' is a sports drama set in rural Andhra Pradesh that promises to deliver a gripping narrative with a riveting storyline. Furthermore, fans spotted close resemblance of the first look of the Mega Power Star with Allu Arjun's Pushpa and KGF: Chapter 1.

Ram Charan appears rugged and intense avatar with his fiery eyes. One of the posters show the actor lighting a biddi (cigarette) while the other poster captures his side profile. Dressed in a torn shirt and holding a cricket bat, Ram Charan gives an intense over-the-shoulder look. These posters have excited fans and aroused the anticipation for the movie.

IMDb's official description states, “In 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, A spirited villager unites his community through sports to defend their pride against a powerful rival.” 'The ensemble cast features Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and 'Mirzapur' fame Divyendu Sharma.

Initially, Peddi was scheduled to release in 2025 but due to certain delays, it will now be released in March 2026, Pinkvilla reported. Peddi features music composed by AR Rahman, R Rathnavelu handles the cinematography, while Navin Nooli is the editor. Notably, Netflix has acquired its streaming rights.
