Ranveer Allahbadia controversy: Mumbai Police on Saturday gave comedian Samay Raina time till March 10 to appear before them in connection with a controversial remark made by Ranveer Allahbadia on YouTube show India's Got Latent.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police are unable to trace podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia as his phone remains switched off and house locked.
The comedian's lawyer met senior police officials seeking more time, citing that his client was in the US. On the lawyer's request, the police have given him time till March 10 to appear before them to record a statement, reported PTI quoting an official.
Raina has also deleted all the episodes of India's Got Latent from YouTube after Allahbadia's crass remark sparked massive outrage, leading to complaints from several people.
An official from Khar police station on Friday visited Ranveer' house in Versova. However, they found it locked and his phone was also switched-off.
Allahbadia, popular on YouTube for his 'BeerBiceps' channel, had earlier requested the Khar police to record his statement at his residence, but his request was turned down.

— The Maharashtra Cyber has summoned at least 50 persons to record their statements in connection with a case registered by it in this connection.
