Tamil actor-director Bharathiraja Manoj, son of legendary filmmaker Bharathiraja, passed away on Tuesday (March 25) at his residence in Chetpet, Chennai, due to a cardiac arrest. He was 48 years old.

Reports suggest that Manoj had undergone bypass surgery a few days ago. Despite medical attention, he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest at 4 PM on Tuesday at his home.

Bharathiraja Manoj's Personal Life

Born on September 11, 1976, in Theni, Tamil Nadu, Manoj was the son of legendary filmmaker Bharathiraja and Chandraleela. He pursued theatre arts at the University of South Florida before entering the film industry.

Manoj's personal life was marked by his marriage to actress Nandana in 2006. The couple, who met while co-starring in "Saadhuriyan" (2005), had two daughters.
