The Diplomat Box Office collection Day 2: John Abraham starrer movie The Diplomat, which debuted on the big screen on March 14, is showing remarkable performance at the box office. On its second day in theatres, that is Saturday, the film witnessed 12.50 percent uptick in earnings, film industry tracker Sacnilk reported.

Shivam Nair directorial movie ‘The Diplomat’ raked in ₹4.5 crore net on Day 2 after opening with ₹4 crore net at the domestic box office. This brings India box office earnings total to ₹8.5 crore net. Meanwhile, the filmmakers claimed that the movie minted ₹4.03 crore net in India on Day 1.
Reacting on opening day response of audience, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a post on X stated, “Released with minimal buzz, #TheDiplomat benefitted from the #Holi holiday on Friday, with multiplexes in key centres recording good occupancy post-4 pm.”
He added, “While #TheDiplomat had to compete with several re-releases, it was #Chhaava – still going strong in its fifth week – that posed the biggest challenge.”
Considering The Diplomat's performance at the global box office, the movie did a business of ₹6 crore gross on Day 1, amassing ₹1.20 crore gross from overseas market.
The Bollywood film ‘The Diplomat’ with a runtime of 137 minutes was produced under the banner produced by JA Entertainment, Wakaoo Films, T-Series, Seeta films, and Fortune Films. Alongside lead actor, the ensemble cast features Sadia Khateeb Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi, Amitoj Mann, Jagjeet Sandhu, Bhawani Muzamil Bhawani Muzamil and Vidhatri Bandi.
The action-thriller is based on the real-life story of Indian national Uzma Ahmad. The Indian woman was brought back to India in 2017 after allegedly being honey-trapped by a Pakistani man. The movie explores themes of diplomacy, international relations, and the personal conflicts.
