New Delhi: Water purifier firm Kent RO Systems Ltd on Thursday announced that it has appointed Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan as brand ambassador for its soon to be launched automotive security product range. Khan joins senior Bollywood actor Hema Malini who has been promoting Kent RO water purifiers.
“Shah Rukh Khan enjoys a mass appeal and is amongst the most popular personalities in the country. The product which company is launching shortly is an automotive security product. It will target male consumers and hence the decision to rope in Shah Rukh Khan. The company will launch the product in the last week of March," said Dr. Mahesh Gupta, chairman and managing director, Kent RO Systems Ltd.
The company said that the patented car security device for vehicles will use dual cameras to video record everything happening inside and outside the car, and also allows live video streaming of either camera, from anywhere in the world.
Khan will be seen endorsing Kent’s new product range through print, television and digital campaigns.
The security product is meant for luxury cars which are often chauffeur driven where you need to keep a tab on the location of the car and safety of its occupants. The company said that the device will also ensure safety of women and children.
“The automotive security segment is untapped and has huge potential, even globally. Kent has developed the product in-house which is a plug-and-play device with dual camera setup which uses intelligent video technology to offer live streaming and recording of both audio and video of the vehicle. The product has been priced at ₹18, 000 and will be exclusively sold through e-commerce platform Amazon," said Gupta.
