Bank Holiday in December

According to the Reserve Bank of India's calendar, there will be ten bank holidays in different states in December, in addition to those on Saturdays and Sundays. RBI has notified bank holidays on the occasion of Feast of St. Francis Xavier, Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma, Death Anniversary of U SoSo Tham, Goa Liberation Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas from 24 to 27 December, U Kiang Nangbah, and New Year’s Eve also called Lossong and Namsoong. There will be bank holiday only in specified regions on these dates.

The RBI has notified these bank holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
