Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Vadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and dedicated several other development projects to the nation.

The development projects encompass sectors like road, rail, energy, health, internet connectivity, urban development, water supply and tourism.

After inaugurating the Vadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, PM Modi tweeted on X: “Inauguration of theVadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway today marks a milestone in infrastructure development for Gujarat. This crucial stretch not only enhances connectivity between major economic hubs but also promises a smoother journey for several people."

At a public function in Gujarat’s Navsari, PM Modi dedicated to the nation multiple road projects in Bharuch, Navsari, and Valsad; a rural drinking water supply project in Tapi; and an underground drainage project in Bharuch, among other projects.

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the first PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (MITRA) Park at Vansi Borsi village in Navsari.

According to a statement released on February 21, building a strong road network across the state is one of the top priorities of the Gujarat government. In this direction, the construction of three sections of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway in Gujarat has been completed.

The first section of 31 km from Manubar to Sampa has been constructed at a cost of over 2,400 crore. The second section is about 32 km long from Sampa to Padra, constructed at a cost of over 3,200 crore, and the third is 23 km long from Padra to Vadodara, constructed at a cost of over 4,300 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a visit to Gujarat held a mega roadshow in Navsari district on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, the prime minister also participated in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation in Ahmedabad.

During his address, PM Modi said: “We have constructed four crore houses for poor people."

In an attack on the Congress, Modi said that the opposition party has no agenda except abusing him, but this attitude will only strengthen the resolve to win more than 400 seats for the BJP-led NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

“You have seen how Congress people abuse Modi's caste. But Congress people forget that the more abuses they hurl, the stronger will be the resolve to cross 400 (Lok Sabha seats)," he said.
