I&B Ministry meets Bangladesh delegation for film co-productions

New Delhi: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting met a delegation from Bangladesh, including H.E. Dr. Gowher Rizvi, adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Syed Muazzem Ali, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India and others, for agreements on movie co-production and content sharing.

The meeting focused on the making of a feature film on the life and works of Bangladeshi politician and statesman Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, to be directed by Shyam Benegal, written by Atul Tiwari, and co-produced by both countries.

The Bangladesh delegation has assured complete cooperation in the shoot of the film in Bangladesh. Tiwari is to travel to Bangladesh to do background research for the project where he will be assisted by Piplu Khan, a film personality from the neighbouring country.
