New Delhi: Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) India on Tuesday announced the elevation of Agnello Dias (Aggi) as creative chairman effective immediately. Dias, who is currently chief creative officer and co-founder, Taproot Dentsu, will now take on the additional responsibility. In his new role, he will also mentor the creative output of all DAN India companies, while continuing his services with Taproot Dentsu.
“It is really delightful to add on an additional responsibility of creative chairman DAN India to Aggi. The entire creative community in India looks up to Aggi for his tremendous achievements. His mentoring of creative talent across all DAN India agencies will make DAN India an unbeatable creative powerhouse. I am really glad that Aggie has agreed to stretch himself and share his unparalleled talent across the group. I look forward to him chairing the DAN India Creative Council," said Ashish Bhasin, chief executive, Greater South, Dentsu Aegis Network and chairman and CEO, India.
Dias served as the national chief creative officer for JWT India and co-founded Taproot Dentsu over a decade ago. Dentsu acquired a stake in Taproot in 2012.
“Taproot Dentsu is now a robust, full-fledged agency, based in two cities and run by a team of capable and talented professionals. In fact, this is the team that has been at the forefront of everything the agency has done for some time now. With the structure now in place and Paddy (co-founder Santosh Padhi) leading the way with the rest of the team, it was felt that I could stretch myself to also work with the other hungry and talented teams across the DAN network in India. It is an exciting part of my life’s journey and I hope it’s fruitful for all," Dias said on his new role.
Dentsu Aegis Network’s presence in India comprises the global network brands Carat, iProspect, Isobar, Posterscope, Vizeum, MKTG, Amnet and mcgarrybowen along with the Dentsu branded agencies — Dentsu Impact, Dentsu One, Dentsu India, Dentsu Media, Taproot Dentsu and Dentsu Webchutney. Also, newly added to the group are the recently acquired local brands Milestone Brandcom, WATConsult, Fountainhead MKTG, the Perfect Relations Group, Happy mcgarrybowen, Fractal Design Studio, SVG Columbus and Merkle Sokrati.
