Indian Commodities Exchange MCX will reduce trading hours in wake of coronavirus lockdown. Trading hours will be reduced to 8 hours from March 30 until April 14.

Currently, trading on MCX is done from 9 am to 11 pm. From March 30 until April 14, trading will be done from 9 am to 5 pm.

"In view of the Novel Covid19 virus pandemic outbreak and the nation-wide lockdown of 21 days in the country and pursuant to discussions with SEBI, it has been decided to revise Trading timings, from Monday, March 30, 2020 to Tuesday, April 14, 2020," MCX said in a statement.

NSE also said that trading timings for commodity derivatives will be reduced from March 30, 2020 to Tuesday, April 14, 2020. The revised timings will be from 9 am to 5 pm.
