NEW DELHI : Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Wednesday permitted portfolio managers to participate in exchange traded commodity derivatives (ETCDs) on behalf of their clients.

Portfolio managers will have to mandatorily appoint a Sebi-registered custodian before dealing in exchange traded commodity derivatives (ETCDs).
