Market regulator Sebi (Securities and Exchange Board of India) today issued norms for participation of mutual funds in commodity derivatives.
Mutual funds have been permitted to participate in commodity derivative market only through exchange traded commodity derivatives (ETCDs).
Hybrid funds and gold ETFs have been permitted by Sebi to participate in ETCDs.
